RATTAN, A NOBLE MATERIAL
There are different types of rattan, we work in our workshops with 2 species: Malacca and Manau. Rattan is a solid material, naturally rot-proof thanks to its bark, both flexible for the smallest diameters and rigid for the thickest. It is resistant to traction and pressure. Rattan furniture does not require any special treatment against parasites. Its easy maintenance and lightness make it an ideal material for patio furniture.
RATTAN WORK
Rattan work is a craft that requires a perfect mastery of the shaping of rattan structures as well as skill in the execution of Rilsan weaving.
The techniques used by LA Maison Grock are specific to the design of its seats, structures aimed at, and in particular the Grugé assembly of the reinforcing cross which improves without comparison the longevity of the chair.

Our natural rattan seats are available in all styles depending on the weaves and colours chosen.
The strands are made of a Polyamide PA11 RILSAN® biosourced resin based on ricin seeds, which rhymes with performance and durability.
